Agency leader for Y&R Wellington announced

Y&R means business, folks. It’s just made three new staffing coups.

Jason Wells will take over the gap left as agency head honcho in Wellington – a space left by the quick arrival and departure of Livia Esterhazy (ex-Ogilvy and now at Saatchi).

Mr Wells is tasked with evolving Y&R Welly into a non-traditional “ideas shop”, which is what we all want, really.

He’ll forgo the traditional MD title in favour of “creative planner and Wellington agency leader”. He’s a good muffin, that Mr Wells.

In Auckland, Joseph Silk joins as one-to-one planner. Mr Silk has more than 16 years’ experience in DM/CRM and founded Silk Communications in 2007.

He’s also been GM at Wunderman and has judged the RSVP Awards every year since 2000.

Finally James Stanton joins as digital creative director from his role as head of design/digital at Ogilvy in Sydney.

Mr Stanton used to run his own digi-agency in London.

James if you've just Googled yourself on some secret prototype handheld wireless device and are reading this from Raglan, can you please get off your surfboard and come back to work? Thank you.

So it's OK to poke fun at James but not to criticise [censored]? Shame on you, Hazel!

I just paid to subscribe to NBR. I expect the odd comment deletion from CB because of their obvious commercial agenda but not here.
